SVEP expects to serve a total of 1,010 participants throughout the service region. Of this total, 777 participants are expected to complete training and receive credentials. This should make participants more competitive for employment or advancement in their current jobs. Case management services, seminars and workshops are being offered through grant resources and One Stop Career Centers to help build resumes and interview skills so that a total of 704 participants will be prepared for employment. Out of 704 participants, it is expected that 634 will be employed in a job which directly relates to training.
The managing organization which is responsible for oversight and coordination of all grant activities is the Shenandoah Valley Workforce Investment Board (SVWIB). The SVWIB was a major contributor to the development of the SVEP collaboration.
