Individual Plans
Each SVEP participant is required to develop an individual training plan with a Participant Employment Specialist. These plans are used to gain a better understanding of participant interests, training focus and career goals and are used to establish a pathway leading to training and credentialing completion. Plan development includes review of previous or current work experience, current skills, previous education and training, and credentials earned. The Employment Specialist and participant will be able to track training progress from beginning to end, adjust the plan as needed, and support participant advancement through credentialing.
Participant in Good Standing
To continue to receive SVEP scholarship funding, a participant must remain in good standing, as defined by the following;
- Successful completion of classes with a passing grade.
- Successful completion of credentialing requirements with the award of at least one credential. Proof of credential provided by participant or credentialing organization.
- Needs to be attending class regularly, participating fully in class activities, completing homework assignments, and studying for and passing tests.
If a participant finds it difficult to remain in good standing, he/she should work with a Participant Employment Specialist and program instructor to immediately implement a plan of action to address all concerns. If a participant is not in good standing, the individual may continue to take classes funded through another source.
